A canine cancer diagnosis can feel overwhelming. Families are suddenly faced with difficult decisions, emotional uncertainty, and unexpected veterinary expenses.
Fight Like Capone was created to help families navigate that journey with compassionate support, educational resources, and financial assistance when funding is available.

Fight Like Capone provides direct financial assistance to help offset the cost of veterinary care for dogs diagnosed with cancer.
Because every family's needs are different and funding is limited, the amount of assistance awarded varies with each application.
Assistance may include:
• Diagnostic testing
• Surgery
• Chemotherapy
• Radiation therapy
• Medications
• Palliative and quality-of-life care
• Humane euthanasia and cremation assistance, when appropriate
Please note that submitting an application does not guarantee financial assistance. Every application is carefully reviewed, and assistance is provided based on available funding.
To be considered for assistance, applicants must:
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Be the legal owner of the dog.
• Provide veterinary records confirming your dog's cancer diagnosis.
• Submit the required supporting documentation.
• Agree to allow Fight Like Capone to communicate with the treating veterinary hospital to verify information and coordinate approved assistance.

3. Fight Like Capone will review your application and verify the information with your veterinarian.
4. If funding is available and your application is approved, financial assistance will be paid directly to your treating veterinary hospital.
5. You will be notified as soon as the review process is complete.
To help us review your application as quickly as possible, please have the following available:
• Your dog's veterinary records confirming the cancer diagnosis.
• A treatment estimate from your veterinarian, if available.
• Contact information for your treating veterinary hospital.
• Any additional information requested on the application.

We are currently building our initial assistance fund so that when we open applications, we are prepared to make a meaningful difference for the dogs and families who need us.
Applications are not yet being accepted, but we are working hard to change that.
Every donation made during our launch helps build the fund that will allow Fight Like Capone to begin assisting our very first dogs.
